Megan Wing & Aaron Lowe
DIRECTORS
The Vancouver Ice Dance Academy is directed by 2011 Skate Canada Competitive Coaches of the Year, Megan Wing and Aaron Lowe. Wing and Lowe are 2006 Olympians, five-time World Competitors, 11-time Canadian National medalists and two-time Four Continents Championship medalists. They have been coaching since 1991 and coaching full-time at the Champs International Skating Centre of BC in Canlan Scotiabarn since 2007.
In addition to their international competitive and coaching experience, both Megan and Aaron are National Level Technical Specialists (since 2006) and Level 4 NCCP Certified Coaches. Megan has an MA in Psychology and Aaron has an MA in Human Kinetics.
In 2012, their ice dance teams took home six of the nine possible ice dance medals at the Canadian National Championships. Megan and Aaron continue to train teams from Canada and many from abroad.

Ashlynne Stairs
ASSISTANT COACH
Ashlynne is a 2x Canadian National medalist in ice dance, as well as a Junior World competitor. She understands the sacrifices required to perform at a high level of sport, and strives to support the physical, mental, and emotional health of her athletes. Ashlynne is an American Council on Exercise Certified Personal Trainer and also has a Precision Nutrition certification.

Peter Ahluwalia
ASSISTANT COACH
Peter competed as a Canadian National ice dance competitor. He has been coaching since 2010. Peter has his NCCP Level 2 Skate Canada coaching certification, and is in training for NCCP Level 3.

Miku Makita
ASSISTANT COACH
Miku competed as an ice dancer, achieving 8th place at the 2020 Junior Worlds, and 5th at the 2020 Youth Olympic Games. She has her NCCP Level 1 Skate Canada coaching certification, and is currently attending Simon Fraser University.

Tyler competed as an ice dancer, achieving 8th place at the 2020 Junior Worlds, and 5th at the 2020 Youth Olympic Games. He has his NCCP Level 1 Skate Canada coaching certification, and is currently attending Simon Fraser University.
